Shelter Involvement
We believe all pets deserve a second chance. For that reason, we are proud to provide the primary vetting for Dorothy O’Connor Pet Adoption Center, Shelter Pets of Victoria, Pitty Paws Bully Rescue, and Houston Boxer Rescue. We are always welcoming donations. Call us at 361-573-6131 or come in and specify which non-profit group you would like to donate to. ADOPT DON’T SHOP.
Education
Did you know that we are a teaching hospital for Victoria College? We have partnered with Victoria College to offer Veterinary Assistance classes the Summer of 2019. Please contact Victoria College for more information. We also happily accept Summer and Winter Internships for students currently enrolled in the Veterinary School at Texas A&M University. Gig ‘Em!
Dr. Beck’s Personal Involvement
Dr. Beck loves staying up to date with all things going on both in the Crossroads Area and in current events within the veterinary medicine community. He is involved with AAHA, TVMA, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Ambassadors, Victoria Electric Cooperative, South Texas Lineman’s Association, and South Texas Farm and Ranch Show, the Boy Scouts of America, 4-H, FFA, Victoria County Livestock Show, VISD, Golden Crescent Veterinary Assoc. He hosts the Annual Jack Whitmire Rotary Gun Shoot at his ranch.
Staff Involvement
Continued education is very important to us, the more we learn and keep up with the ever changing trends in veterinary medicine, the better we can serve our pets and their owners. We attend multiple seminars, numerous educational days from our pharmaceutical representatives. We also attend the Western States Conference in Las Vegas, and the Southwest Symposium in San Antonio.
